PSL Retention list has been announced for the 2023 years with all teams announcing players they want to retain. Couple of major players shifts have already been confirmed where Babar Azam has switched to Peshawar Zalmi and Shoaib Malik transferred to Karachi Kings.

2023 Retention List Highlights

Islamabad United: Shadab Khan (Platinum). Asif Ali (Brand Ambassador) and Mohammad Wasim Jnr (Diamond). Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf and Hasan Ali (Gold). Colin Munro and Paul Stirling (Silver).

Meanwhile, leading T20 cricketers from around the globe have registered themselves for the HBL PSL Player Draft 2023. Four hundred and ninety-three players, of which 29 are in Platinum category and 81 in Diamond (names below), from both full member and associate nations have made themselves available for the player draft.

The maximum number of foreign players to register are from England (140). The next on the list – from full members – are Sri Lanka (60), Afghanistan (43), West Indies (38), Bangladesh (28), South Africa (25), Australia (14), Zimbabwe (11) and Ireland (nine).

The PSL Squads 2023 list containing 20-plus member squads for each team participating in Pakistan Super League T20 Tournament are officially announced by the PCB and PSL franchises. There are six teams participating in the 8th season of PSL and each team consists of upto 15 local and 7 foreign players.
